Atomos AtomX Ninja V/V+ CAST and CONNECT Expansion Kit

Expand the video and network capabilities of your Ninja V or Ninja V+ monitor with the Atomos CONNECT. Designed to fit flush to the back of your compatible monitor and secured via two screws, the CONNECT features a 12G-SDI input and antennas for Wi-Fi 6 capabilities. The CONNECT supports Bluetooth LE and Gigabit Ethernet with the integrated LAN input so you can stream to networked video switches, additional monitors, or destinations like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.

Utilize the CONNECT Camera to Cloud workflow to upload proxy files, capture full-resolution footage, and collaborate in real time via Frame.io, Dropbox, or Sony Ci media. Atomos Cloud Studio allows network-enabled devices to live stream to popular platforms and custom RTMP/S locations.

Use the AtomRemote app with your iOS or macOS device and control your CONNECT unit remotely. Configure settings from up to 49.2' away using the device's Bluetooth LE technology. Define camera connections, select Gamma/EOTF, adjust Gamut settings, control playback, and utilize other input monitoring tools. Output control options include video resolution, LUT preview, and HDR output.

Atomos AirGlu wireless timecodes work together to seamlessly sync your connected camera's timecode for improved system integration. Relay recording, battery status, and disk capacity information to the server unit, which can be any AirGlu-enabled device.

Create a main Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR/HD recording and an HEVC H.265 proxy recording with matching timecode and metadata using the CONNECT's dual recording feature. The clips are then uploaded to the cloud for real-time collaboration. Proxy clips can be reviewed using Frame.io by remote team members, and editors can begin cutting footage.

The slender profile of the CONNECT complements the compact form factor of the Ninja V and Ninja V+ monitors to avoid adding bulk to your preexisting gear configuration. An L-series battery slot can power the accessory.

Convert your Ninja, Ninja Ultra, Ninja V, or Ninja V+ 5" monitor into a full multicamera broadcast studio switcher with the AtomX CAST from Atomos. The AtomX CAST takes its name from "broadcast", and it allows you to switch up to four HDMI video sources and output it to a variety of destinations such as an external monitor, a recorder, a separate switcher, or to a live streaming computer. Applications include corporate, house of worship, event, family, or studio production environments.

The CAST is specially designed to mount onto the back of the Ninja V/V+ monitor, and it provides four HDMI inputs that support a mix of different resolutions up to 1080p60. The touchscreen monitor can view a single image, Picture-in-Picture, or 4-Up modes, and you can also add logos and graphic overlays. It can send Program, Preview, Picture-in-Picture, and 4-Up displays to the HDMI output. You can select the source for monitor/output using the four source buttons, and you can also select the source using the monitor touchscreen. There are also four programmable function buttons to perform specific shortcuts.

The monitor allows you to preview your broadcast while simultaneously outputting to a recorder, a monitor, a projector, or when using the optional AtomX Connect for live streaming using a computer. It also supports recording output to ProRes and Avid DNx formats. It is compatible with most streaming platforms such as Skype, Zoom, Teams, and more using UVC with the included USB-C cable. The CAST is powered using the power adapter included with your Ninja V/V+, and it passes the power to the monitor through the battery mount.
