Zhiyun Crane-M2S Overview
Smaller and even more lightweight, the CRANE-M2 S 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer Combo Kit from Zhiyun-Tech is designed with even more power than its predecessor to support compact cameras, smartphones, and action cameras up to 2.2 lb. The M2 S packs all the great features of the M2 and adds even more functionality, including a higher payload, longer runtime, PD fast charging, a smaller handgrip, stylish two-tone design, Bluetooth 5 support, a redesigned quick release camera plate, and a built-in LED light. This combo kit also includes a smartphone clamp, an enhanced mini tripod, and a TransMount EasyGo Backpack.
The CRANE-M2 S offers 360° pan, 320° tilt, and 320° roll rotation across six modes of operation, including POV and Vortex modes. It runs for approximately 10.5 hours on a built-in battery that's rechargeable using an included cable. Over a wired connection, the gimbal can power a supported camera and control its zoom, shutter, and video start/stop functions. You can also control the gimbal movements with the free-download ZY Play mobile app for iOS and Android, providing remote control over many functions of the gimbal and filmmaking features such as time-lapse, panorama, and slow-motion capture.
The CRANE-M2 S features a quick release camera mounting system that lets you secure or remove your camera at the push of one lock button. Scale marks and memory locks help you balance the camera and lock the balance position for the camera used. The built-in fill light is integrated beside the camera plate, it features a CRI of 90+, 1000-lumen brightness, and five brightness levels, and it includes four interchangeable filters to change the color temperature.

Likely the LAST Zhiyun product I will buy
Balancing my camera has become impossible because I performed the Six Point Calibration via the ZY-Play phone app. The performance of the gimbal only got worse and has become unpredictable / unreliable. The Gimbal tool (Zhiyun Gimbal Tools ver. 1.54) that is available for download to my computer seems incredibly outdated, does not match the Crane MS2, and lacks detailed instructions. I cannot even recommend this as a beginner's gimbal because using it will just leave a bad impression about gimbals with novices. I will likely replace it with a gimbal that is more robust and that has better tools for self maintenance and calibration. Pass on this one or any Zhiyun product until they get better at understanding how to help the consumer use their products in the most optimal way.

Lightweight Amazing~ Gimbal
I've never owned a gimbal before. I researched the DJI ronin SC and this one quite a bit before choosing one. Considering I plan to primarily use it for my Fuji X T3 and maybe my cell phone on occasion, this one wins primarily due to its smaller size and weight.
A+ product, worth every penny!
Truly impressive! This gimbal is very easy to set up. Super light, perfect size for traveling with a small backpack. Awesome and sturdy product, lightweight but strong enough to hold camera and phone devices. The feature I like most is the built-in light and quick attaching filters, those make vlog shots more professional. Charging time and runtime are excellent. Overall great performance, a gear MUST have for a run-and-gun filmmaker. A+ product, worth every penny!
Better than I expected
This is the 2nd Zhiyun gimbal I have owned. Easy to use and motor is good. You get a remarkable item for what you paid.
It is OKish not more: Decide carefully, preferably try first
I've been using this stab for a week and it works to an extent, but no wow effect. Tilt axis (forward\backward direction\side motor) has pretty much significant play somewhere in the joints, so, for example, when you fix something light, like an action cam - it renders resulting video pretty much useless if there are no video stab inside camera - if there is some kind of additional stabilization - then it is very much acceptable. For APS-c light cameras: I used Nikon Z fc - it's one of the lightest one one the market, you feel this gimbal IS REALLY struggling with it, despite camera's weight. (which is like 2 times less than announced in specs (about 500g total)). Also despite the tiny camera size and weight almost impossible to balance - only with closed screen, eye cap catches the axis bars all the time, if you open the screen not possible to balance roll (back motor)... so... it's like that. Flagman mobile phones are fine there, on the other hand nowadays they have so advanced internal stabilization so basically no gimbal is needed, to be honest. I've purchased this product after watching tons of videos in search for universal gimbal... Honestly, I'd happily return the product, if I only could. Now looking at this new DJI RS 3 mini, but seems like it's primarily made for a lot heavier cameras than my goals and will not support action cams and phones...

I purchased the Crane M3/M2S TransMount Universal Quick Release Plate, and I was finally able to level my camera properly after performing the 6 side calibration. No motor calibration adjustments were needed. It remains level spinning it around. For some reason, it is not possible to perform the proper leveling with the original base plate.
