Xcellon USB-EA-2 Reviews
inexpensive USB-A to LAN adapter, OS independent

One of my laptops doesn't have a LAN port, which I need for testing and configuring IP based equipment. This adapter plugs into a standard type-A USB port, converts the protocol to LAN format (up to gigabit data rate it claims). I tried it on a Linux machine, worked fine. On my Win10 laptop sans built-in LAN port, it works ok.. but had to swap USB ports with my wireless mouse adapter, else it refused to be recognized. No clue why. It's windows, so no reason needed. After Windows found the appropriate driver, the adapter worked ok. Not the fastest thing in town, but sufficient for my needs. Takes it a while to be recognized, driver installed, and start to work; but on Windows, nothing new about that. For my purposes, it's completely adequate. Arrived quickly, packaged well, good price.. as always BHPhotovideo comes through...
