Easy upgrade to Bluetooth 5.0!
I have an older laptop that was running Bluetooth version 3. This handy little dongle let me quickly and easily run Bluetooth version 5. I disabled my internal Bluetooth, , installed the driver from Xcellon, plugged in the BT5A, and was good to go! Greater range is really nice, as I like to step away from my desk during some of my video conf calls. It's also pretty compact, so doesn't get in the way when I put my laptop in its case. Works great and portable
Simple. Windows 10 automatically took care of the driver. Works as expected. I used this device to connect my bike trainer via Bluetooth and I didn't lose connection. My range from the Bluetooth device to the computer was about 15ft. This device lights up to let you know it is connected (see photo) [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.]
