WindTech PPA-02 Overview
The WindTech PPA-02 is an adapter system designed to provide an affordable method for extending your reach when holding a microphone, camera, or antenna in location recording, electronic news gathering, and television production. It is designed to be used with a painter�s extension pole, and can also work with some broom handles.
The Acme 3/4"-5 female end attaches to your pole, and the adapter enables you to convert to a 5/8"-27 male thread type. The adapter offers confirmed compatibility with the following poles: Wooster Sherlock, Mr. Longarm, Linzer Pro Everlock, Unger Pro Line, Lowe's Quickie Pro, and Home Depot 5' extension poles. It is advised to test the adapter prior to purchasing a pole. Additional 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 adapters are included.

Painting with lights!
Bought this in combination with the Impact Female threaded 3/8 to Male 5/8 stud adapter to use on top of my painter's pole. I just thread the black piece onto my painter's pole and then add the silver piece with the 3/8ths adapter and lastly the Impact stud. Now my assistant can hold a monolight up high when I need them to.
OK, but a missed opportunity
The adapters work as designed to support a camera. However, I'm going to use it more often with a strobe. With a different design, the base adapter could have functioned as a standard 5/8 stud. (I had to buy a separate adapter to fit on to the 3/8 screw.)
Fits perfectly on Unger Extention pole
With this extension pole I can now get birds eye where drones are not allowed. The adapter fits on an Unger 12� pole snugly and I�ve added a Arca QR plate for the camera.
Doesn't fit.
Just got mine in and it is not the same thread pattern as my Mr. Longarm Painters pole. Disappointed !
Thread Issues
I bought this in January and I put the 1/4 extension and all was fine. A few months later, I needed to use the 5/8 extension and then I noticed the extension was difficult to get off. The product has defective threads and I contacted . told me they can't help because it's out of warranty. I guess I should have sent the product to my quality department when receiving the item.
Can�t believe I wanted so long
I can not believe I waited as long as I did to make this purchase, to use a highly under utilized tool in my garage. I have used this item to boom mics as well as lights already in the short time I have owned this item
