Featuring five ratio settings?2:1, 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, and 20:1?plus a legendary All-Button mode, the ng78 handles everything from gentle mix glue to bold, aggressive limiting. The newly extended attack range up to 20 ms provides smoother transient control, while the dedicated MIX knob simplifies real-time parallel compression without extra routing. A 2:1 ratio option offers musical subtlety perfect for mastering or bus work, while Dynamic Link Technology ensures rock-solid stereo tracking and balance.

A Carnhill transformer output stage delivers unmistakable analog weight and warmth. Switch to Saturation mode to disable compression and drive the input/output circuit for colorful harmonic enhancement or clipping effects. The THD control provides Low, Mid, and High modes to fine-tune the amount of analog coloration, while Modern and Vintage modes emulate two classic 1176 revisions (F & G).
