WANDRD PRVKE 31L Reviews
Nice versatile camera bag
I bought the WANDRD PRVKE 31L Bag. So far, I used it for one vacation trip. It seems to work well for my needs. I noticed there are two straps provided for attaching to rollaboards luggage but I prefer to hook the two magnetic handles over the rollaboard luggage handles so that the weight distribution is shifted lower and as a result, it makes it much easier/lighter to pull. I like the versatility of the design for expansion purposes but it doesn't really look that pleasant to me with its rolled up top.
Some pictures are wrong and it's not this backpack
If you are considering to buy this backpack, you have to know that some pictures are wrong and they are showing a different backpack or another version. This backpack doesn't have the strap to attach it to a carry on lugagge that you can see in some pictures, for example.
Compact and yet roomy enough to hold serious equipment
I shoot outdoors under various weather a lot so when I search for a bag, I need it to be light weight, compact, durable, and for me to be able to easily access the camera (including taking it out and putting it back). This bag meets almost all of my requirements. I have used and still own many bags, my go to bags are Lowepro sport 200 series. The problem with the Lowepro bags is the longer lens like 70-200mm (f4) or 100-400mm doesn't fit. With Prvke, I can find a way to fit a lens like those. The secret is the wider camera compartment. If I really want to pick up things to complain, this bag is a bit heavier than most of my sport bags. Some reviews complains about the flip (only for V1) gets in the way when access the camera cube in the fully open position. But I only care about the access from the side so this is not an issue for me. One thing to be aware of is that this bag is a V1 bag but there are couple of pictures of V2 shown here. You can tell from the dividers inside the camera cube. V1 has the much thinner dividers. If that's going to be an issue for you, you might want to take a look at V2 bags. For V2, the flip mentioned in the fully open position is also fixed.
Decent backpack betrayed by misleading warranty policy.
I was an early adopter of the PRVKE backpack and have taken it all across the world on my travels (Africa, Europe, USA, etc.) The rain cover was clutch when our boat ride in Zanzibar turned choppy and heavy waves were splashing onto the boat. The exterior and myself were completely soaked, but the bag and contents stayed perfectly dry. I was able to fit my Mavic 2 pro drone and extra batteries in the camera compartment and I enjoy all of the nice details of the bag. My only design complaint being the weak magnet of the grab handles (fixed on v2). I would give this bag a 5 star rating but I'm deducting 2 stars because of their misleading Wander more, worry less lifetime warranty. The stitching holding down the molle webbing on one of my strap started to come undone. I contacted them to see if they can repair it, I still liked the bag and didn't see the issue severe enough to ask for a new bag. They said they don't do repairs and I should look for a seamstress to get it fixed in my area, then I should send them the bill for a POSSIBLE reimbursement. They deemed the issue as a cosmetic and not structural issue, so they didn't feel the need to honor their warranty. I don't live in an urban area where I can find places who are experienced in fixing things like backpacks. There are a ton of tailors but no seamstress. So, in summary. Bag is worth 4.5-5 stars but their after purchase service is a negative 2 star!
Excellent Bag!
This bag is perfect for my Nikon D780 and a couple of lenses. I can also get my Mavic Air 2 and remote controller to fit inside without cramming everything too closely together. The comfort is excellent, even with the bag loaded. Highly recommend.
Initial Impressions
Ive been wanting to get this for a long time mainly cause of the advertisements that Ive seen but also I was originally looking for a camera/ backpack for an overseas trip. But this is initial impressions since I havent been really able to use the bag often enough. Overall I like it a lot! The material is of great quality and there was a lot of thought that went into the design to use as a to and from work backpack with the added benefits of a camera bag as well. It feels sturdy and centered on my back when I tired it on and the camera cube was a lot better than I thought it would be. To me this is a great choice if you want something you can bring to the office and be able to stop on your way back home to grab a couple photos as well.
Great travel/hiking bag
I was initially attracted to this bag because of its looks. Upon receiving it, I am very happy with the quality of the materials, zippers and pockets. It is perfect for my fuji mirrorless system and has ample room for its accessories as well as for extra clothes including jacket, food and water for hikes. Easily fits my 13 inch macbook and ipad pro. The straps make it comfortable to carry the pack even when loaded.
Not Very Good Quality
I love camera bags and I have more than I need. I had been using Peak Design bags, mostly, but their 21-liter roll-type bag is just a little small for my z9 and 3 lenses. So, I got the WANDRD PRVKE 31L because of the extra capacity. But I really don't like the quality of the bags. The included camera cube is thin and cheap. Further, it won't fit a gripped camera, the z9 just towers over the cube. I'm very disappointed, especially when compared to Peak Design the amount of space, the cube, & included options make Peak Design a no-brainer. Further, these bags Peak Design & Wandrd both cost about the same. I'll probably return the bag. Dang, I'm still looking for the perfect bag! I got the WANDRD PRVKE 31L as part of a Black Friday sale and because of the price I have been trying to justify keeping the bag but, this is the smallest 31-Liter bag I own. If you own a small mirror-less camera this 31 liter will work but if you, have a gripped camera or prefer quality, look elsewhere.
