Durable and designed to last, the Defender Flip Cap Eyepiece from Vortex helps protect the eyepiece of your Vortex riflescope, as well as provides a place for your dope disk. It offers an outside diameter of 1.57-1.81" and has three stop positions, vertically straight up, at 45° back, and flat.

very loose fit on the vortex viper old stype

I like these lens caps a lot
I just purchased my second pair of these caps which I installed on Steiner P4xi scopes. They fit and work well, seem to be durable, and the caps flip out of the way when you shoot. I like them a lot. They appear to be a quality product and offer good protection.

Vortex Flip Cap, Eyepiece
Would not be my first choice. I rather have the whole assembly be hard plastic material rather than rubber cylindrical body. Hard plastic is stiffer and give the positive effect when closing the cap. It does the job.
