This TimeCore Timecode Generator/Converter/Display from Visual Productions is a versatile unit for generating or sharing timecode with a variety of devices and can be used with lighting controls and MIDI audio instruments. The old-school LED screen shows the current timecode, while an up-to-date web-server GUI allows you to configure the unit, as well as enable protocols such as UDP, OSC, and sACN to be responsive to timecode events, for triggering effects, and thus allowing the TimeCore to be a bridge between non-timecode enabled devices such as video players, relays, and dimmers. Supporting both SMPTE and MTC timecode, it also features Art-Net timecode implementation, which is network based and used for lighting control. The TimeCore can be network controlled and supports DHCP for assigning of its IP address making it simple to add it to your network. Front panel buttons provide a physical way of setting the unit, which can also be triggered in software.
A large LED display gives a real-time readout on the current timecode frame.
Generate or Follow Timecode
The TimeCore can be set to be a timecode master, in which it will generate a stable timecode signal. Alternatively, the unit can also be set as a timecode slave.
The unit supports receiving and transmitting SMPTE (LTC), MTC and an Ethernet-based timecode (Art-Net). The TimeCore is capable of converting between any of these protocols. It can even convert between different frame rates (24, 25, 29.97, 30).
Ethernet Control with PoE
- The TimeCore has an Ethernet port that allows you to access the internal web server. This web-server enables you to fully configure the behavior of the device.
- The TimeCore speaks lighting languages like Art-Net and sACN. The unit can directly interact with your lighting desk
- You can power the unit via the included power supply or via PoE Class I.
Supporting various protocols that are often found in show control such as UDP, TCP, OSC, and MIDI. Messages received from these protocols can be used to start, stop, or manipulate the timecode.
- The TimeCore comes with software tools that you can download:
- vManager, allows you to discover TimeCores on the network, back up their internal data, and upgrade firmware.
- Kiosc is a simple program for creating custom touch-screen user interfaces
