These cables work perfectly - I only wish they were a bit longer, but they work as expected.
works fine with the SONY A9
I wanted to remote fire my SONY a9 so the price is right for this cable and i already have the _PocketWizard PTMM Pre-Trigger Adapter_ https://www..com/c/product/1000495-REG/pocketwizard_804_525_ptmm_pre_trigger_adapter.html so combined with the PocketWizard PLUS II Transceiver i managed to fire singe shots on mechanical shutter mode,and multiple shots on electronic shutter mode.

Doesn't work on a7sii - doesn't do anything not with pocket wizard.
Cable for remote controlling an a7r and a7rII
Works just as described. Plugs into the a7r / a7rII and allows wired or wireless camera firing with a transmitter (not included). I was able to use PW II's to fire the camera, but not get the 1/2 press for focus. However, using the Vello remote allows for the 1/2 press and focus before shooting.

Read this.Just a few weeks after I posted my previous comment (read above) on this Vello cable, I received an email from , asking if I would allow them to hand my contact information to Vello, because people there had read my comment and wanted to discuss the matter with me. I agreed.Two days later, I received a first email from The Gradus Group, owner of the Vello brand, which started a very polite exchange, and in which it was clear they showed me intention of settling things with me.A month after their initial contact, I had a new cable in hand, that fully works now. Wow! I really mean WOW! Apart from my post on web site, I never made any attempt to contact Vello, because I thought that a $ cable did not worth the effort of trying. And yet, Vello took the lead and contacted me and made all the effort to make one of their customer satisfied. For a $ cable. WOW! If this is not an A1 customer service, then I wonder what customer service could be.So if you believe that posting a comment on website does not worth the effort, that companies do not read these comments, well, maybe this story will change your mind.Hats off to Vello!
The Multi terminal head is too large...
...compared to the Sony original head. It doesn't fit tightly, so the connection isn't made all the time. If you use it with a remote shutter device, it will work every now and then.
Just right for my Sony Camera
I you need a release cable that has a stereo mini-plug on the actuator end, this is the cable for you. I have used it with a Sony A6000 and A6300 and it works perfectly. The price is good to!
REMOTE TIGGER FINALLY WORKED
I bought a cheaper version of this cables to do remote triggering with pocket wizards and using bulb mode on my Sony A7R3 to do light painting 20-40 feet away from my camera and non of them worked. Decided to spend a couple extra dollars to buy this one to see if there was any luck and this work worked perfectly on the first try. No issues what so ever.
