Necessary spare
I use this as a spare for the freewave remote release or various other accessory devices that require this type of cable. There are just certain little things that you find out the hard way that if you forgot, lost or damaged, you'd be out-of-luck. I have a spares kit in my truck so that I have these types of spares with me wherever I go to shoot, can move the kit into the car or someone else's vehicle I'm going to be riding in, or move the spares I need into my backpack if the car won't be convenient if I find I need a spare like this.

Fine cord for the money.
I used this with my Canon 5D mkIII to shoot remote overalls from the top of a building while I covered the event on the ground below. Used a Pocket wizard and this cord. Set the camera so that it would not time out (power down). Probably used a lot of battery to do it but if fired all 60 shots without a hiccup. I had the lens set on manual focus so that took one more variable out of the shoot. The cord is a deal and does not seem to be cheaply built. You would have to abuse it during disconnecting to have a failure like someone reported in another review.

Using it to connect my Canon 7d to a Pocket Wizard.
First impresion
Easy to use, but the camera end came out on first use, and it appears necessary to make sure it is connected securely by applying adequate pressure: how much would be too much pressure?
The stretchy remote Shutter cable
Well made, works great, at first I hadn't pushed it into the receptacle hard enough and it would fall out. The last intervalometer I had worked fine except for a battery problem (not a Vello). Once I got that right it stayed put no matter how I moved the cable around.Very pleased now.
Cable for Cactus
I'm not sure if this cable is good or not. It works but sometimes the Cactus fires my camera continuously and I'm not sure if it's the triggers or the cable. Until I work this out I'm lukewarm on the item.
