VALOI VALOI 360 35mm Film Holder Overview
The VALOI 360 35mm Film Holder is designed as an entry-point for trying out camera scanning, and it can be used on its own or with the optional VALOI Advancer. The double S-curved and precision-engineered track keeps the film flat, and the matte surface and built-in internal angles keep reflections off your scan. The design makes it quick and easy to scan film by allowing you to push 35mm format film through the holder instead of a traditional clam-shell design that requires repeated opening and closing. The VALOI 360 holder comes with stock-on rubber feet for stability.

VALOI VALOI 360 35mm Film Holder Reviews
Perfect for the job.
Works incredibly well in conjunction with the Valoi Advancer and makes DSLR scanning a breeze. Got my first roll (36 exposures) scanned in less than 20 minutes. Holds film very flat and doesn't scratch negatives.
Works great
I am using the Valoi film holder to digitize my old color film negatives. Negatives feed in easily and most importantly flatten them nicely.
Cost effective scanner for film strips
I have been looking for a negative strip holder for short (4 image) strips. Started to use on that clipped in a strip but that was too time consuming. This holder is fast and easy to load for strips or rolls of film. There are faster methods for long strips or rolls but I have many short strips and those other methods do not hold short strips effectively. This holder keeps the negative flat and is an ease to use.
It works fine, just overpriced
I am not sure what I expected with this product. I had seen the Valoi film advancers / holders / systems praised online, so I decided to get this 35mm film holder for some camera-based negative scanning. The first box strangely had a part missing - the plastic is in two pieces sandwiched together, and mine was missing the top half. BH of course exchanged it, no problem there. The second box had the full film holder, and... it is a simple piece of plastic. Feed film in, push and or pull it through, put over a (separately-purchased) light panel and view negative frames through the top. The cutout for the view is quite tightly cropped, some frame margins come very very close to the holder edges, but so far no frames are clipped in my experience. Film goes through smoothly and is held nicely flat. Does it work? Sure. Is it worth the ~$50 I paid for it? I can't really defend that price point. In theory some of the value comes from precisely fitting the separate film advancer, but you don't need that to use this holder. All in all I will probably keep it more out of laziness / inertia than satisfaction per se. If this was sold for $20 it would be a still-overpriced but more reasonable value, IMHO.
Love This!
Keeps film very flat, easy to use with Valoi 360 film advancer. Use detached if only scanning a few images or cut rolls, works really well with un-cut rolls of film.
