V-FLAT WORLD Duo-Board Overview
Ideal for everyone from pro shooters who need to work fast and travel light to IG influencers and food bloggers, the V-Flat World 30 x 40" Duo-Board Double-Sided Background has a realistic and convincing pattern of dark, moody tones in gray on one side and black on the other to provide fast scene changes on the fly. Generally speaking the two sides are "light" and "dark", allowing you to play with the lighting on your subject for different moods and feels. It is made of multilayered PVC board, so the surfaces are stain resistant and fully washable. Two custom-molded L-brackets are included to allow the board to stand on its own without needing to be propped up.

Duo-Delight
Being that I am partial to concrete surfaces/backdrops, I purchased both the Iced Concrete/Midnight Cement AND the Gray Chalk/Dark Chalk to provide the most options. A weight is lifted, literally. These boards are so portable, sturdy, and diverse requiring minimal effort to set up. The diversity of the grays provide so many options for product, food and garden photography.
Good boards. Terrible stands.
I have two of the 30x40 duo boards. The boards are great. They photograph nice and clean up well. However, the system that they use to connect two of the duo boards at 90 is just about worthless. The "90 brackets" shown in the photos aren't actually what they seem at all. That is because they don't actually connect the boards together. They are really just feet for the upright sheet. The feet don't attach to the bottom sheet. Instead, they have a channel to grab the top board, but only a recessed groove that makes it appear to "float" over the bottom board. This helps so that there is no notable gap where the two boards meet. That part is ok. The problem is that the weight of the vertical sheet is much too heavy to be supported by the tiny plastic feet. I will say that with much patience you can get the vertical sheet to stand, but if you even so much as brush up against the table in the slightest, the upper sheet WILL fall over.
What's not to like?
These are my 2nd and 3rd V-Flat duo-boards. It works great for product or food photography. I especially love its non-glare material as seen in my sample photos. What makes it perfect is it being double sided. Buying two boards gives you a variety of options for the background and tabletop side.
