eVscope eQuinox Telescope
The Unistellar eVscope eQuinox 114mm f/4 GoTo Reflector Telescope eschews convention by eliminating the traditional eyepiece configuration and instead uses a low-light sensitive imaging sensor, on-board imaging processing computer, and integrated Wi-Fi module to create and stream views of celestial objects directly to phones and tablets. With its fast automatic alignment system and automatic light pollution filter software, you spend more time observing the wonders of the night sky and less setting up. Thanks to its ability to stream to 10 devices, this is an ideal solution for educators teaching classes and astronomy clubs doing community outreach.
- Unique design eliminates traditional eyepieces and substitutes in a low-light detector sensor for viewing on a computer, tablet, or phone
- 50x optical magnification with digital magnification of up to 400x
- 27 x 37 arcmin field of view
- 4.5" primary mirror with a fast f/4 focal ratio for clearer imaging
- Reflector design produces a longer effective focal length while maintaining a compact lengthmaking it suited to off-grid use
- 1.72 arcsecond resolution to split binary stars
- Sony Exmor IMX224 imaging sensor
- On-board image processing computer precisely and quickly gathers the incoming light and presents a clear and accurate image
- Provides clear and detailed views, even in areas with heavy light pollution
- Autonomous Field Detection system provides accurate alignment and tracking by detecting and recognizing the star field overhead without the need for polar alignment or finderscopes
- Automatic light pollution filter software "cleans up" the noise that normally obscures conventional observation
- On-board 64GB of memory can store up to 35 hours of images
- App is available for iOS and Android (min requirement: iOS 12 or Android 6, with touchscreen, GPS, and WiFi)
- Integrated Wi-Fi module allows up to 10 devices to connect to share the observation experience
- App for iOS and Android has a database of over 5000 objects with object recommendations, information, and stats
- Set up your telescope outside and observe in the comfort of your home on hot summer and cold winter nights
- Motorized alt-azimuth mount automatically tracks objects and allows user input via app
- Integrated rechargeable battery with up to 12 hours of runtime
- Three-stage aluminum tripod with secure snapping leg locks
- Integrated bullseye bubble level

The sales staff was pleasant, patient and easy to deal with. I could recommend them for that alone, but I also paid $600.00 less than MSRP! What's not to like? Now to the telescope: If you're an aging amateur astronomer like myself whose eyes aren't what they used to be, I highly recommend this scope. It does everything the manufacturer claims. I am sooo impressed! I'm 60yrs old not what you'd call tech savvy. I watched a number of tutorials on the net while waiting for the scope to arrive, and when it came time to actually set up the scope myself, I found it was actually EASIER than I thought it was going to be. For first light I chose M51 the Whirlpool galaxy. The scope slewed to it, I hit the enhanced vision, and within 28 seconds I was seeing it as I never thought possible from my light polluted skies! Truly amazing. I felt like I was 10yrs old again glimpsing the rings of Saturn for the first time! If you're on the fence, don't be. You're never going to see deep space objects like this unless you have thousands of dollars in astrophotography equipment and have spent years navigating the night sky. Wanna see nebulae in color? This little scope is a game changer!
Easy to setup and use. Best decision ever!

I have been an astronomy buff for most of my life and is something I share with my young son. Hauling out a heavy mount and scope and other gadgets was fun, but a hassle. This scope is easy to carry and setup... it literally takes a couple of minutes. And not having to polar align every viewing session is great too. We have had great views of the Horsehead Nebula, Cigar Nebula, and many many galaxies, objects we could never see on our other, larger scopes. This is now our go to scope for everything even though we have much larger scopes.
