Ubiquiti Networks Managed Overview
Expand your business's network with the fully manageable second-generation UniFi Pro PoE 48-Port Gigabit Managed PoE Network Switch with SFP+ from Ubiquiti. Designed with Layer 3 protocol support, the passively cooled 48-port Gigabit switch features a total power budget of 600W across 40 32W PoE connectors and eight 64W PoE++ ports for power-intensive devices such as high-resolution network security cameras. Each port delivers 88 Gb/s non-blocking throughput with a 176 Gb/s switching capacity and a 130.94 Mpps forwarding rate. Four 10 Gb/s SFP+ ports are available for additional network expansion using compatible devices. Administrators may monitor and manage the switch with the 1.3" touchscreen display or access and configure it and connected devices using the UniFi Network Controller application.
Switching Performance
The second-generation UniFi switch offers a 130.94 Mpps forwarding capacity to simultaneously process traffic on all ports without packet loss. The UniFi PoE Pro Switch has a non-blocking throughput of 88 Gb/s with a 176 Gb/s switching capacity.
Layer 3
The UniFi Pro PoE Switch features Layer 3 protocol capabilities, such as inter-VLAN routing, static routing, and DHCP server functionality.
SFP+ Fiber Connectivity
Connect high-speed network storage or set up a long-distance uplink using the 10 Gb/s SFP+ ports.
Redundant Power
The UniFi Pro PoE Switch supports has an external DC power interface, which works with a separate power adapter as a power backup if the internal PSU fails.
UniFi Controller
Network Management
The UniFi Network Controller can provision UniFi devices, map networks, manage system traffic, and monitor network statistics from one interface.
Multi-Site Management
You may use a single instance of the UniFi Controller running in the cloud from a centralized interface to manage multiple UniFi sites. Each site is logically separated with its own network monitoring, configuration, maps, statistics, and administrator accounts.
Switch Configuration
Access and configure any managed UniFi Switch using the UniFi Controller. Its features include:
- Operation mode (switching, mirroring, or aggregate) per port
- Network/VLAN configuration
- Jumbo frame and flow control services
- Network settings
- Storm control setting per port
- Spanning tree configuration
- 802.1X control and RADIUS VLAN
- Debug terminal option for command-line interface
Switch Port Status
View the status information for each port, including:
- Connection speed and duplex mode
- TX/RX data rates
- Network/VLAN setting
Detailed Analytics
Ubiquiti's Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) engine tracks which applications and IP addresses are using the most bandwidth. Additionally, the UniFi Network Controller provides configurable reporting and analytics to efficiently manage user populations and speed up troubleshooting.
