Turtle AV Darwin HD Overview
Working in conjunction with a separately available Darwin HD H.265 receiver or within an established video network, the
Darwin HD H.265 HDMI 1080p60 4:4:4 AV-over-IP Transmitter from
Turtle AV can transmit up to 1080p60 4:4:4 video signals over Gigabit Ethernet for display on a monitor, television, or projector. Using the high-quality, low-latency H.265 compression, resolution can be maintained without bogging down your network.
High-Quality, Low-Latency
The Darwin HD delivers pristine 1080p60 resolution with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, ensuring true-to-life color and detail. The Darwin HD leverages H.265 hardware acceleration for efficient video compression, delivering high-quality HD video at reduced bitrates.
Deliver balanced left/right audio with ease using the analog breakout I/O terminal connectors.
One-to-One or One-to-Many
Configure a direct one-to-one connection for simple point-to-point video delivery, ensuring reliable performance with minimal network bandwidth. Or, scale up with one-to-many multicast, simultaneously distributing your content to multiple endpoints.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) streamlines installation with a single cable, delivering both power and data, or you can power with the included power supply. Or, you can use PoE and DC simultaneously for power redundancy.
Configuration and Control
Easily configure and manage your entire network of Darwin HD transmitters and receivers through an intuitive web GUI. Built directly into the web GUI is an intuitive drag-and-drop interface; you can quickly and easily route one-to-one or one-to-many.
Darwin HD simplifies connections with advanced EDID management, featuring automatic detection and the ability to load custom EDID tables directly through the web GUI.
Darwin HD supports video wall configurations up to 9 x 9, enabling 81 displays to be configured as a single display. Inside the Darwin Control web GUI is a powerful and intuitive Video Wall Manager designed to simplify even the most complex setups. Easily configure layouts, manage display groups, and control individual panels.
Create arrangements such as 2 x 2, 3 x 3, 4 x 4, or even asymmetrical layouts, and fine-tune bezel compensation. With live previews and drag-and-drop functionality, you can adjust your video wall on the fly for dynamic presentations, control rooms, or digital signage.
Advanced security features include AES 256 encryption, HTTPS, and SSH login. These features ensure your data and controls remain safe and your network is protected from unauthorized access. You can also seamlessly integrate with third-party systems such as Q-SYS, Crestron, and more using robust, secure API support.
The compact design allows you to mount it discreetly behind screens or in tight spaces. It is housed in a rugged, all-metal chassis featuring a bright Turtle Aqua color.
Optional Darwin Control Hardware
Adding Darwin Control hardware to your Darwin cluster adds advanced features and simplifies management. Darwin Control enables centralized web GUI management, API support, and robust security with AES 256 encryption, HTTPS, and SSH login. It features dual network ports separating AV and control, while dual RS-232 ports and 4-channel GPIO control enable precise device management and trigger automation. Drag-and-drop routing with video previews and advanced video wall management makes managing your network of Darwin HD transmitters and receivers a breeze.
