TTArtisan C10 Overview
The Brass Meter from TTArtisan is a sturdy brass meter that reads reflective light at a 45° angle. The meter has shutter speeds of 1 to 1/2000 second. This version is designed with a retro look and vary color. During the time of use, the color black will gradually peel off and reveal its color brass.
TTArtisan C10 Reviews
Compact and inexpensive.
Meter fits nicely on my Leica M-4P. The brass construction is solid and considering the cost it is a bargain. I would suggest that the screw for the film speed be tighten so it stays on the film speed selected. Otherwise it is worth the money.
Solid Meter
The meter works great. Has a nice weight to it that makes it feel very well built. My only complaint is that it's a little difficult to put the screw back into the battery door but that's trivial.
Excellent...but
Accurate and easy to use, but I have experienced the loosening of screws that others mentioned. I will probably try some Teflon paste on the threads and move up to rubber cement or thread lock if that doesn't work. Neat little piece of kit.
Love the Meter but....
I love this little light meter and it does a good job. I loved it a lot more before the screws fell out and the hot shoe mount fell off. If anyone knows how to get the screws and how to make them stay in, please let me know. So disappointed.
Really dissappointed
Bought for my Leica M2 to make the shooting process a little more streamlined. The metering itself is fine, and fairly accurate. However, I can't get over some really frustrating design issues. First off, the metering button is wobbly. It feels loose, like I'm going to break it by just touching it. Secondly, the shutter speed dial also has some play. Most importantly, however, the mounting screws DO NOT STAY TIGHT. After tightening as much as the cheap included screws will go without stripping, my meter begins coming loose within a few hours of walking/shooting it on my hip. It's ridiculous, I shouldn't have to worry about whether or not my meter is going to just fall off at any moment. Oh, and by the way, the LEDs are way too dim to see in direct sunlight, so that's also a thing. I wouldn't pay more than 25 dollars for this. I'm going to return it if possible, otherwise ill just throw it in my pool or something.
Almost a perfect product
Form, functionality, quality and price are all great, but... The ISO dial moves very easily, and the type is tiny. It's very hard to read the settings especially for ISO and you'll want to constantly check that it since it moves so easily. Great meter but in the end it's hard to use because of those simple usability issues.
Nice and Small
It's a great device for my Fuji GW 670III which didn't have a light meter. Small and simple.
Nice to have
Purchased this to use on a couple of my film cameras. For the most part, it is pretty accurate. In high contrast situations, one might want to review its recommendations.
