TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Overview
A portable portrait-length prime, the Nikon Z-mount 50mm f/1.2 Lens from TTArtisan blends its versatile short-tele focal length with an exceptionally fast f/1.2 maximum aperture. This bright design offers impressive control over depth of field, for isolating subject matter, as well as for enhanced low-light performance. Beyond speed, the lens uses a Sonnar optical design, which prioritizes sharpness and low distortion for clear and accurate rendering. Also, the 50mm f/1.2 has a manual focus design, capable of focusing as close as 1.6' away, and a 10-blade diaphragm that contributes to a smooth bokeh quality.

TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Reviews
Could be useful...
Manual focus is rather good. Focusing is smooth. The lens itself very heavy... Could be useful for still and portrait photos.
well built decently sharp le s
this isn't the sharpest lens but it's well built, smooth to focus, and produces awesome photos. great value!
Very well made, solid construction. Fun to use!
Very fun all manual lens. Bokeh-riffic.
Cannot Be Beat For the Price
The saying goes that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. But this lens is an exception. Right off the bat, this lens feels like a vintage Leica, Zeiss, or Nikkor lens from the 50s or 60s. It is all metal construction and feels very solid. Focusing is very smooth and the aperture ring has click stops. Optically, it is very sharp even wide open. There is perhaps a very slight softening at the maximum aperture of f1.2 but this is true of virtually any fast lens, even very expensive ones. Color rendition is very good. This lens would be a bargain at three or four hundred dollars but at this price it is a steal.
Amazing little lens! Buy it!
So, I'm a huge fan of Voigtlander's super fast primes. But the price tag is hefty. I spotted this little lens, read some reviews, and purchased it. At approx 1/10 the price of Voigtlander, I couldn't go wrong with this price tag. If the lens is junk, I'm only out $100. Well worth the risk, I thought. I was right. This little lens feels every bit as solid as it's expensive counterpart, and although the image quality is not quite that of Voigtlander, it takes a darn fine, super shallow depth of field photograph, with pleasing bokeh. I'm a fan, and will be buying some other TTArtisan lenses. Highly recommended!
For $98, just get it.
It is decently sharp wide open (more than usable). At least my copy is. Sometimes a little glow is seen wide open. Stopping down to 1.4/1.8 yields great results and sharpness is perfect around f/2. Lots of character. I use it as an alternative to my 56mm when a more filmic/vintage look is needed or desired.
Makes me smile!
In this focal range I own the coveted 56 F1.2 and the wearable 50 F2, but this gem of a lens has been welded to my X-E3 for a month. When you nail focus at 1.2, it's nearly indistinguishable to the other 50's. Build quality, aperature clicks, focus dampening and image quality are characteristic of lens's costing 10 times more. I own 11 Fuji primes and 5 zooms and the only one that makes me smile a tad bit more is the 90 F2 mounted to the XH-1. Couldn't be happier with purchase and is super!
Nikon Z6 User - Great cheap lens
This lens is so much fun!! Yeah it may not be as sharp as my Nikon 50mm 1.8 BUT this lens can give you great bokeh!!! I love the pictures I'm getting with this lens and for the price, you can't go wrong!!!
