Description
TRITON AUDIO AirHead Overview
The Triton AirHead is an inline passive XLR microphone attenuator. Simply connect the AirHead between your mic's XLR connector and XLR cable, or between your XLR cable and preamp, to reduce the microphone signal level by a fixed amount of -15 dB. This gives your preamp more headroom to work, helping to prevent clipping and allowing the preamp's sonic character to shine through. The AirHead is especially useful when recording louder sources such as guitars and drums and can be used with any XLR microphone, as the design passes phantom power through to condenser mics that require it.
