Tripp Lite B156E-002-8K-K Overview
The 2-Port 8K/4K DisplayPort Splitter/Extender Kit over Cat 6 from Tripp Lite is designed to extend a computer DisplayPort signal up to 4K/8K up to 230' away and to split it onto two different displays. Included in the kit is a base unit that inputs a DisplayPort 1.4 signal and outputs the signal to cat 6 cable for extension, and two pigtail receivers are included to each output the same signal onto a DisplayPort display.
Display on Two Monitors
The multi-display splitter connects two DisplayPort monitors, projectors, or televisions to the DisplayPort 1.4 output on your laptop or desktop computer for digital signage, video walls, or audio/video presentations that require a high-resolution display.
Transmit up to 8K Video
The unit supports transmission resolutions up to 3840 x 2160p60 per monitor with 12-bit Deep Color and 2-channel LPCM audio in extended desktop and mirror modes. In video wall mode, it supports expanded resolutions up to 7680 x 2160p60.
Note: When in video wall mode, it is recommended to use monitors of the same brand and model to ensure full functionality.
MST Mode
When using a source that supports DisplayPort MST Mode, you may connect two monitors simultaneously to extend your host desktop across both monitors, display the same image on each monitor, or combine both monitors into one large display as a video wall.
HDR 4:4:4 Support
The system supports HDR (High Dynamic Range), transmitting a wide range of vibrant colors with rich contrast, bright whites, and deep blacks that pop on your 4K display. HDCP 2.3 encryption allows you to stream restricted 4K content with no complications, and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling supports high frame-rate gaming or using an HDTV as a computer monitor.
Power over Cable
Power over Cable (PoC) technology powers the remote receivers over cat 6 cable to save cabling and power outlet requirements. One power adapter is included to power the base unit. Four international plug adapters (North America, Europe, U.K., Australia) are also included.
Plug-and-Play Design
Connect your source device to the splitter with a user-supplied DisplayPort cable up to 15' long, and no software or drivers are needed. The rugged metal enclosure includes detachable brackets for mounting on a level surface or a small rack.
