TK Audio T-KOMP 500 Overview
Audio professionals in search of a vari-mu style compressor will be impressed with the TK Audio T-Komp 500, a 500-series single-channel compressor with a progressive ratio that increases with the threshold level. There are two ranges: 1:1 to 20:1, which is perfect for drums, guitar, and other loud sources or 1:1 to 2:1 for a softer compression. The RMS detector has five settings, four from fast to slow where number four, the slowest, is similar to the old 160VU. The fifth position is a program dependent adaptive mode.
