Tilta Camera Cage Pro Kit for Blackmagic PYXIS 6K/12K (Gold Mount)

Mount accessories and add mounting options to your Blackmagic Design PYXIS 6K or PYXIS 12K cinema camera with the black Full Camera Cage from Tilta. The modular cage is made up of different components that can be added and removed as needed, including left/right side arm panels, a bottom plate, a top plate, and a side SSD plate that secure directly onto the camera. The components provide an integrated shoe mount, NATO rails, an ARRI-style rosette, 1/4"-20 threads, and 3/8"-16 anti-twist threads.

The multi-functional side SSD plate features a slot for an optional SSD measuring 2.05 to 2.36" wide and 0.47" thick, and a quick release lever allows you to lock and remove the drive quickly. A Manfrotto-type quick release dovetail plate is included for quickly mounting your camera, and it attaches using a thread on the bottom that is aligned with the optical center of your camera. The top plate is compatible with the original PYXIS top handle.

Power your Blackmagic Design PYXIS 6K or PYXIS 12K cinema camera and power-hungry accessories using a Gold mount battery with the Battery Plate from Tilta. Designed to attach to and lock into the PYXIS 6K or 12K camera's BP-U battery slot, this battery plate passes power through to your camera from a high-capacity Gold mount battery.

The battery plate also features two 14.8V D-Tap outputs, a 14.8V 2-pin LEMO-style output, and a USB-C output, allowing you to power a variety of accessories. A DC barrel input provides the ability to hot swap your battery using an external power source and a separately available cable.

Integrate this black Tilta Xeno Top Handle into your camera cage configuration for improved low-angle shooting. The top handle secures to your cage via a NATO clamp. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads throughout the handle allow you to attach articulating arms, cable clamps, or other accessories. A single cold shoe slot accommodates a shotgun microphone or wireless transmitter. The handle's silicone grip makes for an ergonomic and anti-slip handgrip.

Add rod compatibility in order to mount matte boxes or follow focuses on your RED V-RAPTOR with the Tilta 15mm LWS Baseplate, which is custom-designed for the Tilta camera cage kit and installs via a quick release connection. The 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads allow for compatibility with third-party quick release systems.

A locking toggle allows the baseplate to be used with the separately available 19mm studio version. The bottom of the baseplate features a dovetail receiver that is compatible with Tilta- or ARRI-standard dovetails. Aluminum alloy and steel ensures a lightweight and durable construction.

Tilta's 8" Threaded 15mm Rod is a 8" rod with female threading on both ends. This allows you to use optional threaded rod adapters to extend the length. As a standard practice, Tilta chamfers one end of their rods and leaves the other end with a straight cut. The chamfering makes it easier to slide accessories onto the rod, while the end with the straight cut makes for a smoother rod join.

The rod is made from machined aluminum for a balance between weight and strength, and then anodized black for wear and corrosion resistance. Please note that there is no industry-wide standard for support rod threading, so when sourcing optional rod extenders, it is best to stay within one brand.
