Clouds will billow off the page and a flowing stream will reveal its stony bed when using the 95mm Circular Polarizer for Mirage Matte Box from Tilta. It slides into the Mirage, or it can be clamped directly onto a 95mm lens with the Lightweight Filter Clamp-On Adapter (available separately).
The polarizer blocks the light that appears as haze in the sky or a reflection off the surface of the water. Rotate the filter, either by hand or via an optional wireless motor, to find the angle that blocks the maximum amount of unwanted light, highlighting your subject and boosting the contrast of your image.

I'm a big fan of the Tilta Mirage matte box and these Vaxis series filters. The polarizer works as expected, and for the few times I've used this, it seems to have a good range of adjustment for deepening skies, foliage and reducing glare in water and glass.
Cheap gear that works
For the price, great piece of kit- if you use the Mirage MB.

Although I haven't used this extensively on set in a range of lighting situations, the general performance is as good as any other polarizing filter I have used in the past. A polarizing filter is great to have for reducing glare, and boosting sky and foliage colors. Vaxis also offers a less expensive, flat polarizing filter without the rotating frame, but I think that could be difficult to work with. So, I opted to spend the extra for the convenience of the frame with rotation dial. The 95mm Vaxis filters are really a joy to use, as they are light, compact and very affordable. AFAIK, they only work with the Tilta Mirage matte box system, so they add a lot of value to that product. I was surprised to receive a multi-filter case with this polarizing filter (likely because the flat leather case that ships with the other filters wouldn't accommodate the frame/holder that ships with the polarizer). The case is sturdy, protects multiple filters and also holds the threaded lens mounting rings; so I'm glad to have it. Highly recommend.
