Tiffen S9SRSTRK1 Overview
The Tiffen Series 9 Rotating 1mm Streak Effect Filter is a cross screen filter providing one reflected light point stemming from specular highlights within the image frame. When this filter is rotated in front of the lens, the point shifts about the highlight. This effect is caused by thinly etched lines on one of the planes of the filter. These etched lines are spaced 1mm apart, producing visual depth and separation between light points in the resulting image. Streak effect filters are most effective when not used in conjunction with other filters. This filter is compatible with Series 9 filter holders.

Streak effect is caused by thinly etched lines on the filter surface and does not affect exposure or coloration of the image.
Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting to precision metal rings.
