Built for seamless transitions between photojournalism and sports photography, urban exploration and adventure travel, and all kinds of social events with or without a camera, the black Tenba DNA 16 Pro Camera Messenger Bag can hold a professional-sized DSLR camera with a grip and attached 70-200mm lens with room for up to six total lenses plus a flash, accessories, personal gear, a laptop, and a tablet. The camera and lenses fit inside a padded insert in the main compartment that can be removed to allow its use as a conventional bag. - TPU-coated and seam-sealed base is completely waterproof on the bottom 1.5" of the bag, so you can safely put the bag down on any wet surface�even for extended periods of time
- Whisper Hook Closure on the flap can be opened with nearly silent operation by pulling straight down on the flap before pulling away from the bag
- Front flap extends over the bag and has a sewn hinge to ensure easy closure and weatherproof coverage at the corners
- Stealth reflective panel on the lower portion of front flap is made with black reflective material to increase safety and visibility at night

Tenba DNA 16 Pro Reviews
Well designed; well made; good materials
This bag is well thought out for convenience of use. It fits a Canon EOS R5 mounted with an RF 28-70mm f2 (that's the big beast of a lens) -- and it still has space for an RF f2.8 15-35mm, an RF 70-200mm f2.8 (including mounting ring and ARCA footing), and also an RF 100mm f2.8 macro (albeit snugly with the added 100mm lens). There's room for assorted items like extra batteries and charger, filters, etc. There is sound waterproofing, especially at the base of the bag (with extra protection from a slip-on rain cover). The top entry zipper is a handy feature, too. Nice broad shoulder strap, which helps with the heavy load just described. Closing velcro patches (with a silent mode for pulling apart) and handy magnetic catches make for secure closure and carrying. Let's face it: No bag has everything you might think you want (or later might come to want). E.g., this Tenba bag lacks a means to attach a collapsed tripod. But this Tenba is pretty darn good. Think of the number of promising bags you've bought over the years, only to give them away or sell them for a loss after their limitations and disappointments become manifest in use -- or you acquire more lenses. This Tenba bag, though, promises to prove a keeper. (And who can resist Tenba's amusing Sumo wrestler ads?)
So far so good!
I like my new DNA 16 Pro Camera Messenger Bag. I was surprised how much space there actually was. I got the 16 basically so I could carry my notebook computer and if I were not going to take my notebook, I could easily go with a smaller bag. Right now I carry 2 mirrorless bodies, a 16mm-24mm, 24mm-70mm and 70mm-200mm lenses w/lens hoods, memory cards, card reader, extra batteries and recharge, Notebook computer w/electric plug, external hard drive, paper pad, pen and pencils, hooded foldable rain jacket and other misc. items. It does get somewhat heavy but for carrying short distances, it's fine. I'll probably refine what I carry the more l use it. The addition of the carrying handle is much appreciated.
Exactly what I needed
I was looking for a bag to carry my D850 with 70-200mm lens attached, as well as a few other lenses..this bag was perfect. I had previously tried the Peak Design 13L Everyday Messenger V2 and while it sort-of worked size wise the bag was too narrow and putting the camera in/out was a hassle, plus the Peak Design bag's narrow-ness made it fall over. The Tenba bag is a real camera bag, it's well thought out and made for working photographers.
Nice update to the NDA but Missing Pockets
I've had the OG NDA for years since it first came out. It's a little run down so I thought this would be a good time for a new one. The good: The top handle and strap are a million times better. I like how it stands up straight when the camera insert isn't inside. The netted side pockets are higher quality and deeper. The not as good: Where are all the little pockets? I get removing the flap pockets for waterproofing, etc., but They just left out all the little pockets inside. There's a few but not as many. No sub pockets in the big, back pocket. No pen pocket. It could've so easily been there but wasn't. Not sure why they decided to fix what wasn't broken. Huge bummer for me. Only one zipper pocket inside. Also, the padding isn't as pad-dy as before. Less protection for the computer. Solid Tenba build quality, etc. But for anyone who's looking to get the new one as a replacement to the old one...You should know you'll be kissing the built ]-in pockets goodbye and will have to re-think your organization. If this is your first one, you wont miss what you never had and you'll love the bag.
