KLEIN TOOLS VDV501-770 Network Cable Tester, RJ11, RJ12, RJ45, F Coax, SCOUT Pro Max Series

VDV501-770 is a Scout® Pro Max network cable tester with remote set designed for installation, verification, and troubleshooting of voice, data, and video cabling systems. It tests RJ11, RJ12, RJ45, and F-connector terminated cables and provides both analogue and digital tone generation for cable identification and tracing. The tester measures cable length using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology and accurately locates cable faults by displaying the distance to the fault. It supports custom test report generation and test history storage for documentation purposes. The unit tests both shielded and unshielded cables, traces up to 20 cable runs simultaneously using the included remotes, performs hub blink testing for port identification, measures active and passive Power over Ethernet (PoE), tests POTS telephone lines, and detects active network capabilities, making it suitable for comprehensive network cable qualification and maintenance tasks.

• Network cable tester locates, tests and measures cables for fast installation & easy fault detection
• Colour backlit display and memory store up to 200 test results for easy report management
• Measure cable length up to 2000feet (610m) and distance to fault with TDR
• Digital / analogue tone generation to easily probe cables (requires VDV500-223, sold separately)
• Locate and identify up to 20 locations with ID remotes for greater cable management and organization
• Detect network capabilities and connection speeds up to 10Gbps
• Initiate hub blink to easily identify and locate cables on device and POTS testing
