Product Overview
VTX-MC2 is a high performance moving coil transformer. Amplify the low-level signal from a moving coil (MC) phono cartridge used in turntables. MC cartridges are prized for their superior sound quality but produce very low output voltages, typically in the range of 0.2 mV to 0.5 mV, which is much lower than the output of a moving magnet (MM) cartridge. The transformer boosts this signal to a level suitable for standard phono preamplifiers.

- 1-100 ohm input impedance
- Frequency range from 16Hz to 60kHz
- Fitted with multiple electrostatic screens
- Low distortion Mu-metal core
- Mu-metal screening can reduces electrical noise by up to 30dB
