Description
This NYX-101 V1 Retrofit Kit Supporting Heavier OTAs is meant to improve the stability of the original 2022 Pegasus Astro strain wave telescope mount, substituting a new left-side plate and locking bolts. The retrofit provides greater rigidity and prevents rocking motion when using large optical tube assemblies, including 8-10" Newtonians or refractors in the 130-180mm aperture range. Installation is straightforward and takes only a few minutes.
The updated left-side assembly is used in current NYX-101 mounts. The retrofit is only for the first batch of NYX-101 mounts, produced in 2022.
