Moment 1.55x Anamorphic T-Series Mobile Lens II (Gold42)

The 1.55x Anamorphic T-Series Mobile Lens II from Moment delivers a dramatic letterbox image for creating cinematic imaging ratios using a smartphone. It brings video to life in a way that typical, non-anamorphic lenses can't. It works by squeezing the image horizontally at a 1.55x factor to record a higher resolution onto the smartphone image sensor. The image can then be de-squeezed in real time using an app, such as Moment's Pro Camera app, or during post-production for true cinematic imaging.

The anamorphic nature of this lens reveals how light behaves when it fails to be fully controlled by incorporating lens flare, streaks, and reflections. This anamorphic lens adapter honors cinematic lineage by deliberately recreating imperfections caused by heavy use and imperfect materials.

The Gold42 Anamorphic Mobile Lens II is inspired by multilayer-coated anamorphic lenses where blue reflections are more heavily suppressed, allowing warmer wavelengths to dominate. The result is a flare that shifts toward amber and gold, emulating the color temperature of a tungsten light source. It is inspired by the legendary ISCO Iscorama 42 cinematography lens, rendering tones that are warmer in daylight and richer under tungsten and sunset. Not just a fixed color, but a dynamic response to real light.
