Description
The One15 Passive Nearfield Studio Monitor (5.25" Woofer, Pair) from Amphion is designed to prioritize clarity and honesty in sound reproduction, with accurate transient response. They feature 5.25" aluminum woofers and 1" titanium tweeters, with a compact size profile that thrives in small- to medium-sized mixing and mastering rooms.
The advanced acoustic design minimizes circuitry bulk by forgoing onboard digital signal processing—the electrical simplicity of the monitor allows the user to draw on the full power of signal processing devices, room-correction algorithms, and other types of advanced software, without overcomplicating the signal chain. Lowering the crossover point to 1600 Hz allows the speakers to operate in point-source manner, leading to impressive phase coherence and pinpoint imaging, with a frequency response of 49 Hz to 20 kHz at +/-3 dB. Waveguide technology aligns the voice-coil levels of the tweeter and the woofer, making even dispersion a top priority. The One15 is ideal for small mixing room applications, and can be paired with a low-frequency extension sub to create a small-room full-range system.
