The RX1223RP 12-Bay Expansion Enclosure from Synology is designed to provide storage expansion for their NAS enclosures using Synology DiskStation Manager's (DSM) capacity expansion via Storage Manager. The 12 drive bays natively support 3.5" and 2.5" SATA hard drives and solid-state drives, including Synology's HAT5300 and SAT5200 series. The drives are hot-swappable and connectivity for the RX1223RP is established using one mini-SAS HD expansion port. Built with a 2 RU form factor, it operates using dual redundant power supplies and includes two mini-SAS HD cables, two AC power cords, and an accessory pack.
