Gets timecode into the camera.
It does what it's supposed to, it isn't too expensive. Glad to have it so that I can timecode sync my smaller camera. The only drawbacks are that now there is additional cable length dangling off of the camera that needs to be dealt with, and that micro USB isn't the most reliable connection, so I feel I must be extra careful with it.
Frame delay?
Nice Adapter- no more timecode via audio!! But it seems, as if the adapter causes a 1-2 frames delay! I tested that thoroughly- and send the case to sony. I hope, a firmware uodste addresses the problem.

Works well
The adapter does exactly what it says it will do. It's a little clunky, and surprisingly a little heavy on the BNC end, and with it coming out well after the FX3 camera, it seems a bit of an afterthought accessory. But, I suppose it enables add-on functionality that was never promised when I purchased the camera, so it's all good!
Great to have the option, wish it was smaller.
I mean, its great to have TC input on the FX3, and the adapter funtions perfectly with my Deity TC-1 system. However, it is fairly large and heavy for something hanging off a USB slot, and requires DIY mounting, to avoid stress on the camera jack. Adds more clutter & bulk than I would like. Would I buy it again? Yes. This is the only option.
Cheaper! yay!
They work with FX3 and FX30. Now at a cheaper price. We use ours with Tentacle Sync. Re sync every few hours to prevent drift. Drift, has never happened to me - but I always re sync. It might not be a problem for you - but that's your time if you have to hand sync footage. Not mine.
