This Sony ECM-VG1 Short Shotgun Microphone Boom Kit with Boompole & Accessories from bundles together the essential elements required for using the ECM-VG1 as a boom mic. In addition to the lightweight, phantom-powered supercardioid microphone, the kit provides a lightweight boompole that extends up to 7', a universal shockmount, a 15' XLR cable to connect to your recording device, and a neoprene boompole bag for travel and storage.
With an ultralightweight body and smooth tone, the Sony ECM-VG1 shotgun microphone offers strong, clean output signal for event video shoots, indie film production, TV and documentary shooting, court room depositions, and more. Plus, at a mere 2.3 ounces, it can be placed atop a camcorder or mounted on a boompole with virtually no impact on the weight of the rig.
The ECM-VG1 features a supercardioid polar pattern for excellent directivity and minimal noise at the off-axis sections of the capsule, resulting in intelligible voice pickup even in noisy environments. The microphone's wide, flat frequency response yields natural, accurate signal reproduction with crisp detail and minimal coloration.
The ECM-VG1 runs on 40 to 52 VDC phantom power, making it compatible with a variety of professional camcorders, multitrack field recorders, and portable audio recorders. The supplied furry windshield delivers up to 20 dB of wind noise reduction for high-quality audio capture in outdoor environments. It also includes microphone spacers and a mic holder to accommodate camera-mount and stand-/boompole-mount configurations.
This BP Series boompole features three sections that smoothly telescope to provide adjustable reach from 2.7 to 7'. Thanks to the ergonomic quick-twist locks, the BP-36A is easily expanded or collapsed with a single turn. Its interior end cap is strengthened to protect the bag from punctures. It features a zipper closure with protective interior lining to prevent snags and scratches. The bag is built with an interior pocket for accessories that opens or closes with hook and loop fasteners. An adjustable shoulder strap is included with a nametag holder.
