SOMA Laboratory PULSAR-23 Overview
The Pulsar-23 Organismic Drum Machine with Screws (Black) from SOMA Laboratory is an organismic drum machine created by Vlad Kreimer with a semi-modular structure, consisting of 23 independent modules. Percussion instruments and rhythms, bass and melodic lines, effects and sound landscapes, as well as a source of control voltage and powerful analog effects can all be created and manipulated to the edges of the user's imagination.
The Pulsar functions in three different modes: standalone, MIDI control and CV control. Moreover, all the above features and control modes can work simultaneously in any proportion or combination. Two controlled VCAs, CV-controlled gates. and two controllable inverters offer the user a versatile integration experience with other equipment. Additionally, it offers live circuit bending capabilities and the use of the artist's body conductivity to create modulations and patches. Pulsar continues the line of organismic synthesizers begun by LYRA-8, expanding those principles into a percussion synthesizer.
