The Harvezi Hazze from SOMA Laboratory is a distortion pedal with a variety of tonal character options well suited for guitar, bass, synthesizer, or even drums. Integral to the Harvezi Hazze is a waveshaper designed around a unijunction transistor, technology that dates back to the early days of semiconductor development.
The specific behavior of the unijunction transistor allows it to smoothly transition between the functions of a distortion, limiter, waveshaper, and tone generator. The signal chain also features an optical compressor with fixed parameters, a dual-mode distorting amp with soft or hard clipping, and an array of side-panel switches for tonal manipulation.
