SmallRig 3384B Overview
Set your smartphone up for high-quality vlogs or live streams with this Professional Smartphone Video Rig Kit from SmallRig. The full-featured kit includes a smartphone cage, a desktop tripod, a power bank holder, two side handles, a shoe mount, an LED light, a microphone, a microphone shock mount, furry and foam microphone windshields, a camera cable, a smartphone cable, a charging cable, and assembly hardware.
The smartphone cage accommodates smartphones with a width range from 2.4 to 3.4", and it also features multiple 1/4"-20 threads to add a variety of accessories. The power bank holder fits a power bank with a width range from 2.1 to 3.1". The cables allow you to power your camera or smartphone using a separately available power bank. The lightweight handles mount onto the sides of the cage to provide a steady handheld experience for smooth video capture when you're on the move.
The compact microphone comes with a standard foam windshield, or you can use the furry windshield if you are using the rig in windy conditions. The LED light mounts onto one of the shoe mounts and its variable color temperature can be adjusted from 2700 to 6500K depending on your lighting needs. It features a 2200mAh internal battery for long-lasting performance.

SmallRig 3384B Reviews
May not work for every phone
Mic cord appears to be incompatible with Google Pixel. Without that, and for moving/ outdoor filming, there doesn't seem to be any advantage to this over just holding your phone. It would probably be better for an indoor desk setup. Also, the camera clamp is centered which means you have to off-center your phone significantly to avoid the power/ volume buttons being compressed.
Worth every penny
Use it for video and audio recording into my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Very easy to set up. I even hook up a small USB unit to power the light that comes with the package while recording. Now I'm able to use the light for long hours while shooting in low light. Audio recording quality is very nice. iPhone can be easily installed and uninstalled with the screw loosening and tightening with no chance to damage the phone. Holding this thing with both handles can help stabilize the recording. Don't forget you can record yourself too.
All in package makes easy to get the shots you want and need
Having a number of items in my tool kit for mounting iPhones and other hardware... I did not think I needed one more. But getting for for an event (have been remote for over two years.. not all the bits were in the same place. I saw this and say Why not and I'm glad I did, aEverything is well made, the case makes easy to keep things together. I was able to configure for different set-ups.. I did not think I would use the light but it did a great job improving my close up shots.
Way better than Expected!
This is incredibly well made and comes in a custom case with all the goodies. I was very pleasantly surprised. Easy to set-up in a variety of configurations.

Great concept, flawed execution
The cage for the phone is quite nice, and the tripod and handles work well. The light doesn't strike me at particularly effective. I though the battery pack came with it, so I was disappointed by that. My main complaint was the microphone: the noise gate built-in is way too strong so that you can't get solid audio, and when audio did get picked-up it was very watery sounding. I decided to send this pack and just start building my own set-up from SmallRig parts, but supplementing with higher quality parts than come with this kit.
