Expand the capabilities of your GH6 mirrorless camera with the Black Mamba Series Camera Cage with Top Handle for Panasonic Lumix GH6 from SmallRig. Designed to securely mount on the camera body, it provides the strength and structure to attach all kinds of accessories via its 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threading, NATO rail skeleton, and cold shoe female mount. The top handle is perfect for low-angle shots, utilizing the tilting LCD on the GH6 (available separately).
On-the-fly swaps from a tripod to a motorized gimbal or shoulder rig happen via the Arca-Swiss quick release plate, and the redundant anti-twist locking mechanism helps prevent unwanted rotation when shooting. For added security, HDMI and USB Type-C cable clamps lock the outputs in place for seamless data transfers to monitors and recording devices (available separately). The lightweight and strong aluminum, stainless steel, and silicone gel cage is designed with ergonomics in mind, enabling shoots that last all day.

Rock solid for any use
A professional camera is a significant investment. This cage doubles as protection, accessory mount, and - in my case - features a handle that serves as the mounting point, whether horizontally or vertically. I hang the camera from this handle using a cardellini clamp. I have one clamp for its horizontal talking head position, and another where the camera hangs for a top-down view. Regardless of circumstance, the cage and handle enable safe use of the camera, always.
Love it, one small thing
Like all small rig products, it's well made and fits perfectly. Only problem - can't use the XLR audio box with the handle on.
Considerable flex on right side of the cage
I ended up returning this for the standard SmallRig cage as the right side of the cage bends and flexes away from the camera, even when tightly screwed in.
