Slik SH-747 Overview
The SH-747 3-Way Pan-Tilt Head from Slik is a pan-tilt head for both still image and video content creators. It features Slik's new Dual-Stage Arca-type compatible quick release platform, which provides a choice between the traditional (side-to-side) quick release plate placement on still cameras and the common (front-to-back) quick release plate placement on video cameras. A simple release lever allows the dual-stage to rotate and lock in the preferred position. This pan tilt head does not provide friction control common to video heads and fluid heads.
A 3-way pan head offers separate controls for tilt, pan, and horizon leveling, providing more precise adjustments on one axis while not affecting the other two axes, for more accurate framing of a subject. This type of control can be difficult to control with ball heads because all axis are released when the ball is loosened. A horizon leveling knob comes pre-installed on the head to help reduce the travel profile of the head, making it easier to pack or attach to a backpack, or other case. A regular handle is included for use if preferred.

Very happy with this head
I like the pan-tilt head style for precise control. After much research I found this head to be the most economical and best features.
Nice action in a small head!
This is a great Pan-Tilt head for the Sony A7 cameras. I like the smaller size and the friction control. I have not used it very long, so I cant comment on durability.
