Small omissions for a great scope.

Overall, this scope gets 4 stars due to a few items that should be addressed. The most glaring omission is the lack of adjustable feet to allow for leveling. Less problematic is the eyepiece holder is too close to the mounts forward wall preventing it's use with larger eyepieces such as Bader or Celestron. Also, the instruction booklet mixes equatorial and alt-az instructions rather than separately. Lastly tracking is somewhat glitchy as it moves in small steps rather than smoothly. As for optical performance, I recommend this scope as views of the moon, planets and nebula are outstanding.

This is my first telescope. I wanted a large telescope because I live in a fairly light polluted area and wanted the extra light gathering capability to view objects that would be overpowered by background light with a smaller scope. The size is just right and it collapses enough to get into a car for once in a while transportation to dark skies. The one very minor complaint is that there was no indication that I needed to purchase a separate battery or power supply to power the GoTo electronics. I understand not including one of the options because everybody's use case is different. I did say it was a minor complaint. Shipping was fast, everything arrived in perfect condition.
