SJCAM SJ4000 Wi-Fi Overview
Based on the standard SJ4000, the black SJ4000 Action Camera with Wi-Fi from SJCAM features Wi-Fi connectivity for remote monitoring and control via the SJCAM HD app. It features an assortment of mounts to cover just about every situation, including solutions for helmets, handlebars, surfboards, and more.
The camera also features an underwater housing that, with a 100' depth rating, is safe to take snorkeling or on many dives. A 2" LCD screen on the back of the camera allows you to compose your shots as well as review what you've already recorded.
The camera records to microSD and microSDHC memory cards up to 32GB in capacity. It records H.264 video in a .mov type file and offers 720p, VGA (848 x 480), and QVGA (640 x 480) settings in addition to 1080p Full HD. A USB port allows you to transfer footage to a computer, and there is a streaming function so you can use the camera as a webcam.

Great Cost Benefits
1/5 of the price of a Gopro and very decent results. It connects to my Iphone very fast and easy to use. The majority of accessories are the same as a Gopro and you can buy it very easily on the internet. It lacks a good manual. I am using it in many situations and as a Dashboard in my car with 1080/30. So far so good.
95% as Good as a GoPro Hero 4
Having owned a GoPro Hero4 (and before that a 3), plus this camera, I had the chance to easily compare the two, which is likely the question everyone asks when they see it. I'll let you look at the specs, but concentrate on quality. I found that this camera's lens isn't quite as good as the GoPro, but very close. Like 99% as good. It doesn't work quite as well in lower light, but the GoPro isn't great for that either. The lens isn't quite as wide, but it's very close. So far, the cameras are almost identical. The one area where the GoPro 4 (and 5) beat this hands down is in the sound. The GoPro 4 has decent sound, the SJ400 has sound quality about on par with a GoPro 2, worse than an old DV camcorder. But how many people buy these cameras for sound? If you are, this will be something for you to seriously consider. The menu is a bit clunky, and the software gets buggy, but they update it fairly frequently, and I rarely have issues with it. All in all, if you are just looking to get a small action cam, this camera cannot be beat for the price. There's a reason SJCAM has sold a jillion of these, and created a brand for themselves. If you need the best, then look at the GoPro, or some of the other big names. But the vast majority of people would not tell the difference between the cameras.
Great camera, I would buy again.
Very nice camera. I like that I can have extra batteries and change them out as needed and charge when it's convenient. I will say if you use a 64GB micro SD card you will have to format it FAT32. I used my cell phone to format the card first.

Fun for underwater
We used the camera at the Great Barrier Reef and got good shots of fish. Also used it on a jet boat ride with good effect on the spin of the boat. A little cumbersome using the buttons but great for the price and what we needed it for.

Really nice camera for the price
So far I am really happy with this camera. I am using it as a bicycle handlebar camera and the footage is good for what I was looking for, This is my first action camera and I am happy with the experience. I am getting about 1.75 hours per charge on the battery, but will probably buy a spare. My only negative is the mounting accessories don't seem very durable. I have already experienced two breaks in just over a week and will likely buy other ones.
Danger in buying these units
Just a warning to all of us guys that want to use these for broadcasting or web stream events. These units do not produce a PAL type output in the HDMI. From SJCAM " Video resolution of HDMI out is fixed 1080p/60 due to software limitation" For 60hz countries, this is not a problem,? but for PAL or 50i countries these are no good for live outputs. They do not? document this "feature".? I hope BH will take mine back after purchasing 3. But besides this,? they gave out a reasonable picture but suffer the same issues as gopros 1,2,3 and 4? in low light conditions, the picture falls apart. disappointed all around
