The Sensei Pro 150mm Aluminum Filter Holder is designed to allow for the convenient use of 150mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters with the Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Lens without vignetting.

Placement of the filter holder onto a Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Lens is easily accomplished by sliding it over that lens's integrated hood. An included mounting foam square intended to be temporarily inserted between the holder's plastic front filter slots acts as a stopper for optimal positioning of the lens. By first using the mounting foam, the lens's integrated hood does not conflict with any filters that will be placed within the filter slots. To prevent flare particularly when using the filter slot closest to the holder with backlit subjects, the space between that slot and the holder has been reduced to less than 2mm.

Once the Sensei Pro 150mm Aluminum Filter Holder is installed, silicone friction strips along its inside diameter helps provide a reliable, yet adjustable connection that allows the holder to be rotated 360°, permitting the use of graduated neutral density and other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning. Two locking knobs along the rear of the filter holder ensure that its grip on the Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Lens remains secure.

The Sensei Pro 150mm Aluminum Filter Holder Lens Adapter for Lenses with 77mm Filter Threads is designed to allow a separately available Sensei Pro 150mm Aluminum Filter Holder for Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8 Lens to connect to a lens with 77mm front filter threads. The holder can then allow for the convenient use of 150mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters on such lenses. Vignetting is prevented on wideangle, non-fisheye lenses with focal lengths as low as 10mm for APS-C sensor digital cameras and 16mm for 35mm film, or "full frame" sensor digital cameras.

Installation of the lens adapter is easily accomplished by first sliding it over the front of a compatible lens. With the adapter's foam-padded outer surface pointed towards the rear of the lens, the adapter can then be screwed into place. After that is accomplished, the combination of adapter and lens can then be placed into a Sensei Pro 150mm Aluminum Filter Holder that is resting on a front surface with its filter slots facing downwards.
