Schoeps CMC 1 KV Overview
Suitable as a "plant mic" in film sound or for all recordings where the microphone needs to be discreetly hidden, the matte gray Schoeps CMC 1 KV LZX is a variant of the CMC 1 miniature Colette Series microphone amplifier equipped with a magnetic back. With the supplied magnet accessories, it can be easily mounted on many surfaces, e.g. door frames, steel beams, windows, table tops, and more. The CMC 1 KV LZX features a 1.64' permanently attached, side-exit cable terminated with a 3-pin LEMO connector wired for Zaxcom ZMT bodypack transmitters. It is compatible with all existing MK mic capsules and Colette active accessories (all available separately).
Presented as an alternative to the renowned Schoeps CMC 6 amplifier, the CMC 1 KV LZX offers uncompromising high fidelity in a lightweight and ultracompact form factor. It operates on 12 or 48V phantom power from the transmitter and features low current consumption. Its Schoeps RFI Shield provides high immunity from RF interference for a clean, low-noise signal. The CMC 1 KV LZX supports the high maximum SPLs tolerated by the various MK mic capsules.
