Schoeps All Black Studio Set (75th Anniversary Limited Edition)

Featuring a retro look inspired by the vintage CM 51/3 mic and top-shelf internals resulting from extensive development, the gray Schoeps V4 U is a cardioid studio condenser microphone that combines the transparency of small-diaphragm capsule architecture with the narrowed high-frequency polar response of a large-diaphragm mic. The result is a premier transducer that delivers pleasing tonality (on- and off-axis) for sources ranging from vocals to an array of acoustic instruments.

With a priority on clarity and clean sound, the V4 U utilizes a transformerless output stage devoid of coupling capacitors. Extraneous handling noise is reduced by the capsule's internal elastic suspension, and the RFI filter and gapless shielding yield excellent resistance to interference. The capsule head can be tilted ±20 degrees to ensure optimal positioning with ease. The V4 U is compatible with stand clamps and shockmounts (available separately).

The Schoeps SGV Stand Clamp for the V4 U Studio Microphone features a base with a 5/8"-27 internal thread. A threaded adapter is supplied which enables both 3/8" as well as 1/2" mounting. The stand clamp is designed to allow the angle of the microphone to be varied continuously in the vertical plane.

The Schoeps CMC6-U is a balanced output stage and +12 to +48V phantom power supply for the Schoeps Colette series modular capsules. The transformer-less output stage ensures low-noise and pristine audio reproduction throughout. The CMC6-U is terminated with a standard balanced 3-pin XLR connection for use with standard microphone inputs and preamplifiers.

The Schoeps MK4 is part of the Colette series of modular capsules designed for use with the CMC preamplifiers. The cardioid polar pattern results in maximum rejection of rear incidental audio signal, eliminating off-axis noise and feedback. The cardioid pattern allows microphone placement to occur farther from the sound source than a pressure transducer of equivalent sensitivity. The MK4 is ideal for both speech and music capturing, resulting in rich detail without coloration. The MK4 is also a viable solution for X/Y or Mid-Side stereo recording.

The Schoeps SG20 Microphone Stand Adapter is designed to stand mount microphones measuring 20mm or 21mm in diameter. The SG20 features a strong metal housing and a durable plastic clamp. Its base is threaded for 5/8"-27 stands, and a threaded adapter is included to accommodate 3/8" and 1/2" mounting. The angle is continuously variable.

Schoeps Microphones has created the B-5D Windscreen in grey is best when used on pressure-gradient transducers in light wind and as a close-speech guard. The foam encloses an air chamber around the microphone capsule, similar to a basket windscreen.

Although not designed for it, it works hand in hand with the MK 4V, MK 41V or MK 4VXS microphone capsules and the corresponding CCM Compact Condenser Microphones. But this microphone cannot be used with MK 6 or MK 8 capsules, or the corresponding CCM Compact Microphones.
