Good, could be better
Purchased this for a last-minute shoot, I was really happy with the color and it photographed really well. Unfortunately there were a few blemishes� I ended up picking off some strings and lint only to find it completely white underneath, they had just painted over it leaving white strings marks and white dots� it didn�t show up really, I placed my subjects in front of it, so it wasn�t a huge big deal, for 100 bucks, I think it�s worth it and I know I will use it again. It also steamed really well. The 10x10 size was great.
More charcoal than brown but...
Even though I was expecting a more dark brown, it looks more charcoal to me, which is fine because I love it regardless! Great pattern, great quality/thickness, and photographs great! The reverse side has ended up with a neat light gray-ish pattern to it as well, so even though I haven't tried it on the reverse side yet, I'm pretty sure I got two 'drops in one with this purchase. I love it. Samples below: bronze statue called "Wolf Robe" by my dear friend Chris Levatino, showing the backdrop with and without back-lighting.

Mine just arrived. The color is not at all what's shown.
Mine just arrived. The color is not at all what's shown. I wanted a dark brown, like old wood in a bar. The photo here best matched my desire but what arrived is a faded olive green. It looks like a Not even close. Not acceptable and will be returned.
Color not even close
I expected color variations but the color is not even close.. it's more like a muddy brown/yellow. It's closer to the color on the savage website. I'll be sending back.
Love this backdrop
Purchased this muslin backdrop for my studio to give me a bright blue background. This cloth matches the color I expected. It has the appearance of sky and provides a good production with studio lights. The cloth is well constructed and thick enough to prevent light penetration when it is placed over other backdrops. As with all muslin backdrops I use a handheld steamer to remove wrinkles. The background is popular with my clients for portraits.
Not at all what it appears online
I purchased the Olympia colored 10 x 20 background, which appears to have mustard color and texture on line. What I received had very little to no gold, was primarily a beige with no texture. It is also stiff as a board. I dont know if steaming will help. Extremely disappointed.
Just Perfect
This background was perfect for what I needed to accomplish. While there was some color variation, it was not significant enough to pose any issues. The client was very happy with the way things turned out and that is what matters most. was fantastic to deal with on the purchase and the rush shipment. When Savage messed up the initial order, resolved matters for me quickly and efficiently. I'm very pleased with everything.
