Saramonic SoundBird V6 Shotgun Microphone | Get Superb, Mix-Ready Recordings of the Highest Caliber
A complete mic solution for location recordists, sound designers, and filmmakers, the Saramonic SoundBird V6 is an XLR shotgun microphone designed to easily capture clear and natural speech, dialogue, foley, and sound effects indoors or outside. From the short XLR cable to the watertight case, it includes a suite of accessories to ensure that you have all the tools necessary to start shooting right away for your next indie film, documentary, or sound gathering project.
The SoundBird V6 can be powered via +48V phantom power supplied from an XLR-equipped camera or recorder. Given its medium sensitivity, the V6 performs optimally with external mic preamps or high-gain mixers. At 9.9" long, the SoundBird V6 is well suited for use on a boompole or stand, and it can even be mounted on a camera shoe. The included shockmount inhibits noise from vibrations and camera/boompole handling, yielding clean audio capture. The mic comes two types of windscreens for recording indoors or outside in high-wind environments.
Shotgun Mic for Location Recording
The Saramonic SoundBird V6 is a supercardioid shotgun microphone with focused directionality and off-axis rejection that helps reduce the presence of ambient noise in your recordings. It delivers clear, focused, broadcast-quality sound and provides a comprehensive set of vital, must-have accessories.
Ideal for Tough Environments
The all-brass construction is extremely durable and helps to reduce radio-frequency interference (RFI). Its interference tube and ultralow-noise circuitry deliver natural on- and off-axis sound in any environment. The gold-plated XLR output provides the best possible signal transfer and resists corrosion.
Phantom Powered
The SoundBird V6 is powered by 48V phantom power supplied by your camera, recording device, or mixer. At 9.9" long, the SoundBird V6 is the ideal size for use on a boompole or stand, but also is capable of camera mounting for professional film and television productions.
Indoor and Outdoor Wind Protection
The inclusion of a foam windscreen and a furry windshield allows you to record anywhere with less noise from wind.
Ready for Challenging Conditions
The supplied SR-C8 case is an impact-proof, crush-proof, watertight, airtight, and dustproof hard case. Incredibly rugged, it's perfect to carry and protect your Saramonic gear, or any kind of valuable equipment and protect it from the harshest elements and the rigors of the most extreme transport.
Includes Vital Accessories
You will need many accessories to use your shotgun microphone properly, and instead of making additional purchases, all these accessories are included with the SoundBird V6. You get an SR-SMC3 premium shockmount, a compact mic clip, and a shoe mount adapter, allowing you to mount the V6 to boompoles, stands, or even shoe mounts of a camera. You also get a 23.6" XLR output cable, a foam windscreen, a furry windshield, and a hard-shell carry case. You will have all of the essentials for capturing the quality sound for your productions and be ready to start recording, right out of the box.
