I have been a wedding photographer for 8 years. The one thing I absolutely dread is always the backup process. Card readers built into the computer can sometimes run slow and there's only one card at a time. So I took a chance and tried the Pro-Dock 4. This reader is amazing. The transfer speed is beautiful, and being able to transfer 4 cards cards simultaneously to a hard drive is brilliant. An incredible added feature is that with the USB-c transfer cable I am able to charge my computer and transfer all via one cable. If anyone is looking for a backend problem solver for cataloging and backing up of data I would highly recommend this product. Had it for 3 weeks now and will be using this always.

The unit feels very rugged and is heavy. I would expect this of a product that is claimed as professional. That's the good so far... the bad? Let's see: There was miscommunication (still is if you look today 11/16/21 under Q&A) that incorrectly states that the unit comes with the pictured modules for expandability. However, it comes with none of that, just the 2 USB-C, 2 USB-A and Thunderbolt daisy chaining in the back for data. So.... After going to western digital website and purchasing the CFast module and the SD card module, I waited about a week to get the slots in. So for those keeping track, we're at about $700 dollars to get the functionality I thought would be there from the get go. However, both of these modules *for some reason*, do not work in the left two ports... if you plugin the card readers and put a card in them, they light up. However, windows itself (at least mine) doesn't even recognize any devices plugged into it. So as it stands, the bays are half working. Ok awesome, lets get in touch with support. If you go to the Sandisk professional live chat, they tell you that this is a western digital product and they link you to their live chat. So then I go to western digital live chat, and they say.... this is a Sandisk professional product and they link me the Sandisk chat... BOTH live chats refuse to help because they state the product belongs to the 'other company'. On top of this, there is a 'pro-dock 4' software utility that is mentioned several times on the website... but no windows version that I can see, but they do mention an apple version on the apple store to download. For a $700 product in total I'm not getting service and the unit appears broken.
