The 2TB PRO-BLADE TRANSPORT from SanDisk Professional is a premium, portable SSD for ultra-fast workflow scalability. It features a 20 Gb/s USB-C interface that drives read and write speeds up to 2000 MB/s. The USB-C interface also allows users to make a direct connection to their compatible camera rig for longer takes and faster offload times. The PRO-BLADE TRANSPORT receives bus power via USB and keeps cool using an integrated aluminum heat sink. To further protect your data, this SSD can withstand drops from up to 9.8' on a carpeted concrete floor and has a crush resistance of up to 4000 pounds. SanDisk formats each PRO-BLADE Transport as APFS for macOS 10.13 and later, although it may be used with Windows 10 and later via a simple reformat.

It really is great
Only complaint is that the blades/drives that fit inside could fit more snugly. They have never fallen out, but it worries me a bit. These are fast and the fact that I can carry multiple blades/drives and slot them in is fantastic.
Speed issue
Great innovation with the exchangeable SSD's. However according to the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test the performance is not even half the speed of 2000 MB/S
Corrupted after two uses
I backed up two weddings onto it perfectly fine and then when I went to go edit the SSD no longer worked and would not connect to my computer. I contacted Sandisk and all they said to do is get a new SSD and I have to pay to get my dad a recovered if at all possible
Perfect solution for direct attached storage
After more then 11 years, we were able to replace out QNAP NAS box for a more cost efficient and fast storage solution. This 4TB Mag gave us the storage we need and the expansion we are looking for for future use.
Speed Issue (Same Other Reviewers)
Purchased one of these looking for something to replace the SanDisk Extreme Pro V2's we've been using. With BMD Disk Speed Test, the 4TB Extreme Pro V2's get about 1,500 MB/s Read and Write, while these Pro-Blade Transport drives (also 4TB), get about 950 MB/s Write and 875 MB/s Read. Definitely a speed problem as they are being advertised at 2,000 MB/s (which matches the Extreme Pro V2 advertised speeds. What's going on? Why are we getting less than half the advertised speeds? Running on brand-new Apple Mac Studio's. Tested multiple cables, formatting, etc. The older Extreme Pro V2's are much faster!
