The #7300 17" x 50' Polarizing Filter from Rosco is used to minimize or eliminate reflections from shiny objects like water, metallic items, glass or certain papers. When used for copying art, this filter is indispensable since it will eliminate the glare normally generated by hot lights. Even though glare may not obviously seem to contaminate your shot, when checked on your camera's LCD or film, glare can cause the image to appear washed out and flat. By placing this filter within a frame, i.e. barn doors, it can be used in conjunction with the polarizer on your camera for maximum effect. It should be used at a distance from hot lights.
