The versatile SPCS-001 Smartphone Tripod Adapter & Stand from Robus provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 connections and an Arca-type base for mounting a smartphone on a large variety of tripods, tripod heads, and monopods. Once mounted, photographers, videographers, and social influencers alike can securely insert any smartphone from 2.6 to 4" wide. The clamp can be manually fine-tuned via a knurled knob for precise adjustment. During shoots, three 1/4"-20 accessory sockets let you add your favorite accessory and smooth adjustability lets you get as creative as you want. An integrated cold shoe is suitable for adding on-camera accessories, such as a microphone or LED illuminator.

Heavy Duty Smartphone adapter and stand
The Robus SPCS-001 has a ton of uses. Paired with a mini tripod this becomes a compact light setup that can be set up tabletop or on the ground. It can also be rigged to a light stand or c-stand for more flexibility with a 1/4 and 3/4 on the bottom. You can also use this solo as a desktop mount for your phone. It's built like a tank with an all-metal design, this should hold up to some punishment. So far I've tried a couple of phones with cases on them and I have not had any issues mounting or positioning the phone quickly and easily. I'm impressed with this adapter and look forward to throwing more scenarios at it. (I received this item in exchange for my honest opinion)
Very well-made and versatile smart phone holder, great quali
The build quality on this smart phone holder/adapter is fantastic. This is very well-made. All aluminum and feels great. The knobs work very well and holds the phone very secure. I'm telling you, this looks great, and feels like an expensive piece of equipment. This thing should last forever. I love the fact that it has an Arca-type base/connection. I paired this with my Robus RCTT-200 Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod (which has an Arca mount) and it was fantastic. I highly recommend getting that as well, you won't regret it. The base also has 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes which makes it very flexible on how you want to mount it. Another nice feature is the cold shoe accessory mount. This is fantastic if you want to mount a mic or light. The ballhead moves smoothly and having the 3 notches was a nice addition and adds to the secure placement of the phone. I also love that it has a fold out foot so it can stand on its own, that again adds to its flexibility. As you can see, I think this is a really great smartphone holder. Love the Robus SPCS-011
I am a leading expert in iPhone photography. Since February 2011, I have shot over 1 million iPhone photos, on 10 different devices, in 50 countries of the world. I extensively rely on tripods and tripod adapters, with my iPhone, for the lion-share of my work. This Robus SPCS-0001, is, by far and away, my favorite tripod adapters. I have 4 of them. Once I started using them, I replaced all the other tripod adapters in my bag. This one isn't cheap. But it's so well-built. I just love it and heartily recommend. Fantastic for most phones!
I was in the market for a cell phone holder for my tripod before this product was released from Robus. As soon as I saw Robus was releasing their own version, I was interested. For years I've been a fan of Robus products as they are very high quality and still affordably priced. This adapter is no exception. I think the standout feature of this cell phone adapter is the two-way adjustable clamping mechanism. The knob allows for fine control of the clamp size, while the wingnut allows for a course adjustment. This allows you to set the course adjustment to a size slightly smaller than your phone, then never touch it again. Once that course adjustment is set, you can use the fine adjustment each and every time you mount your phone to the tripod. This adapter also has a built-in ball head for pointing your phone in different directions as well as an Arca-Swiss foot making it easy to clamp to my existing tripod head. Having looked at the competition, I can safely say this is the best, highest quality, most feature-rich smartphone tripod adapter out there. One small note: Be sure your phone will fit this adapter. If you own a very small phone such as an iPhone 12 Mini and you don't use a case, you might not be able to get a tight grip on your phone.
