Scan documents quickly and improve productivity with the fi-8040 Desktop Scanner from Ricoh. This compact device ensures sharp images with an optical resolution of 600 dpi. With its 50-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF), the fi-8040 can reach speeds of 40 ppm / 80 ipm. Able to scan a wide variety of documents, this scanner can handle pages from 2 x 2" up to 8.5 x 220" in size as well as plastic, A3, bi-folded, and multi-layered documents without the need for carrier sheets. Additionally, a 4.3" touchscreen allows for PC-less scans which can then be attached to emails directly. The fi-8040 offers USB 3.2 & wired LAN connectivity.
PaperStream Capture & Scanner Central Admin Software
Included with the scanner is PaperStream Capture and Scanner Central Admin software. PaperStream Capture provides batch scanning with added features and profiles while Scanner Central Admin helps an administrator manage multiple scanner units from a single location.
DirectScan
The fi-8040 comes with the DirectScan function which allows PC-less scans and the ability to directly attach scans to emails. You can also save scanned data directly to network folders by setting destination storage locations. Image data scanned in PC-less mode is displayed as thumbnails which can be instantly viewed for review via the 4.3" color touchscreen.
